Typical vet prices in Czechia

Vet fees are unregulated. Every clinic sets its own price list. Prague and Brno are around 20 to 30 percent more expensive than regional towns. These are 2026 ballpark ranges.

Consultations

  • Standard consultation: 500 to 900 CZK.
  • Specialist consultation (dermatology, cardiology, orthopaedics): 900 to 1,800 CZK.
  • Emergency out-of-hours surcharge: 500 to 2,000 CZK on top of the base fee.

Routine procedures

  • Rabies vaccination: 350 to 600 CZK.
  • Combined DHPP or FVRCP: 500 to 900 CZK.
  • Microchip: 500 to 900 CZK.
  • EU pet passport issue: 500 to 800 CZK.
  • Cat spay: 2,500 to 4,500 CZK.
  • Dog spay (small): 3,500 to 6,500 CZK.
  • Dog spay (large breed): 6,000 to 12,000 CZK.
  • Male cat neuter: 1,500 to 3,000 CZK.
  • Male dog neuter: 3,000 to 8,000 CZK depending on size.

Diagnostics

  • Blood panel (basic biochem plus CBC): 1,500 to 3,000 CZK.
  • Urinalysis: 500 to 1,000 CZK.
  • Abdominal ultrasound: 1,200 to 2,500 CZK.
  • X-ray, 1 to 2 views: 800 to 2,000 CZK.

Dental

  • Full scale and polish under anaesthetic: 3,000 to 6,500 CZK.
  • Single tooth extraction: 500 to 1,500 CZK per tooth on top of the anaesthetic.
